After reaching the semi finals of Seven’s popular cooking series, the nail technician and the teacher last night made their exit against Sydney sisters Sammy and Bella Jakubiak.

Both teams had to prepare their best three course meal for judges Pete Evans and Manu Feildel and guest judges Tobie Puttock, Guy Grossi, Karen Martini and Liz Egan.

The nailbiting outcome came down to just three points.

The West Australians scored 50 points for their Italian feast, comprised of potato and ricotta ravioloni, osso bucco and zuccotto filled with ricotta, chocolate and mascarpone.

Their younger rivals went for an Asian twist, scoring a total of 53 for their Szechuan style soup, smoked duck breast and spiced crème caramel.

Judge Pete Evans heaped praise on both teams.

"every mouthful was an adventure for me," Pete said. "That’s what real cooking is about."

Although they could nearly taste a win, Daniela and Stefania were gracious in defeat.

"Our experience on my Kitchen Rules has been one hell of a ride," Daniela said. “Cooking will always be a part of our life and now ever more so.”

So what is next for the Italian mamas?

Tomorrow night it’s the second semi-final with South Australian newlyweds Ann-Marie Battista and Nick up against Melbourne housemates Kane Lillywhite and Lee Chan.
