ive been getting boils off and on since i was 17 their always on my inner thigh or near my bikini line, but here recently ive been getting them more often, one will go away then another one will appear…. for example ive had 2 boils close together so far this month this first one went away and a week later i got the 2nd one but this last one has been totally different from the rest, it was bigger in size way more painful painful enough that i broke out in sweats and caused what i like to call a bactieral eruption in my body, first i got this boil, and 4 days after having the boil i got a yeast infection immediately after taking just 3 500mg antibiotic, then yesturday the boil popped itself but i now have a reddened area 6 inches AWAY from the boil site i also feel a mouth sore coming on my gum, i know i should go to the doctor but i am a single mom with absolutely no insurance im just trying to diagnos myelf and trying figure out why im having these "bacterial eruptions"
I know you don't want to hear this, but I think you should see a doctor. Frequent infections may be a sign of a much bigger problem, and bacterial infections should be treated by taking antibiotics prescribed by a doctor. you need to take the whole prescription in order to get rid of the bacteria. what may be happening is that even though most of the bacteria are killed, leftover bacteria are allowed to grow and cause the frequent infections.
Unfortunately, yeast infections are a common side effect of taking antibiotics. Try eating yogurt or taking probiotic pills to reduce the risk of yeast infection, and you can treat a yeast infection with OTC medications such as Monistat.
