My boyfriend seems to get boils frequently. He says they are ingrown hairs but they get really big and red and he says they hurt really bad. He tends to get them on his thighs and buttocks but he had one on the back of his head last week (he shaves his head). they get full of pus and often just pop on their own. One time he had one on his behind that came and went for about a year that would get to the size of about a nickle. It caused him a lot of pain but he was too embarrassed to go to the doctor. I think he may have MRSA staph because I've had it myself but I finally got rid of it with a combination of antibiotic drugs. I read that MRSA can cause boils. I don't want him to re-infect me! He says it's stupid to see a doctor for a boil. What should he do?
That is an STD!!! dump him. It's also incredibly disgusting. you should have a warning on the question about how ******* disgusting it is.
Make him use dettol on whatever he uses to shave. Where r my fees? LOL
Going by your description, they are festered hairs. I get these in the summer when it is hot. I get them on my legs, where air can't get to during the work day, and sweat sits there clogging the pours. I use Safeguard soap, and it takes care of it. It is an antibacterial body soap. You can find it at most groceries (I buy it at Walmart). try it, you have nothing to lose.
do you know if his father may have the same condition it may be through their genetics
